Terms of Service

Last updated: July 22, 2026
Scope of these terms: this covers the current free beta of ChronicPath (distributed via TestFlight). Sections on paid subscriptions are written as forward-looking and are not active during the beta. Before any public, paid launch, a lawyer should review this — particularly the liability and governing-law sections, which vary by country and depend on how ChronicPath is ultimately owned. The governing-law section below is left to be set once that is decided.
⚠ Not a medical device ChronicPath is a wellness and travel planning tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or qualified health provider with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or were told by ChronicPath, including its in-app guidance.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ChronicPath mobile application (the "App"), an independent app developed by Amy Blaylock ("ChronicPath," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use ChronicPath. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission.

2. Beta software

ChronicPath is currently offered as a free beta for testing and feedback. That means:

  • The App is a work in progress and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or sample content that has not been verified.
  • Destination data, emergency numbers, medication and border information, and other content may be placeholder or out of date during the beta. Do not rely on it as accurate. Verify anything important with an authoritative source.
  • Features may change or be removed, and the beta may be updated or discontinued at any time.
  • Your data is stored only on your device and is not backed up by us — see the Privacy Policy.

3. What ChronicPath is — and isn't

ChronicPath helps people managing autoimmune and chronic conditions plan travel around their energy, medications, and symptoms. It is a wellness and organizational tool.

ChronicPath is not:

  • A medical device, diagnostic tool, or treatment
  • A replacement for your doctor, rheumatologist, or care team
  • A source of medical, legal, or customs advice you should rely on without independent verification

Medication travel/border information, in-app guidance, and feasibility scores are general planning aids. Always verify medication and customs rules with the relevant embassy, airline, or your physician before traveling, and confirm any health-related decision with a qualified professional.

4. Your responsibilities

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of the health information you enter — the App's guidance is only as good as the data you provide.
  • Your data lives on your device. You can erase it any time using "Reset app data" in the App, or by deleting the App.
  • There are no accounts or logins in the current version, so keep your device itself secured if it holds sensitive health information.

5. Subscriptions (not active during the beta)

ChronicPath is free during the beta. If paid subscriptions are introduced in a future release, they will be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their standard terms: subscriptions renew automatically until canceled, you cancel through your App Store or Google Play account settings, and refunds are handled under Apple's or Google's policies. Any pricing shown on our website is planned pricing for a future release and is not charged during the beta.

6. In-app guidance

The App's guidance (including any "AI guide" feature) provides general, automated suggestions based on the information you enter and built-in content. It can be wrong or incomplete, and its responses are not medical advice. Do not act on medication, dosing, or treatment decisions based on the App without confirming with your doctor first.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App
  • Misuse the App in a way that could harm other users or the service

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any content — including medication, border, or emergency information — is complete, accurate, or current, especially during the beta.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to travel disruptions, medication issues, or health outcomes. This section is a standard structure and should be finalized by a lawyer before any public launch.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected here, with the "Last updated" date above revised. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ChronicPath is ultimately established. [To be set once ChronicPath's ownership and home jurisdiction are decided — confirm with a lawyer given users may be in both the US and the EU.]
