Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026
Scope of this policy: this describes the current beta version of ChronicPath, which stores all of your data locally on your own device and has no servers or user accounts. If a future version adds cloud sync, accounts, or a live AI service, this policy must be updated to describe that data flow before that version ships. Health data carries extra legal weight, so a lawyer familiar with health-app and data-privacy law (including GDPR, since users may be in the EU) should review this before any public, non-beta launch.

1. The short version

ChronicPath keeps everything on your phone. Your health conditions, medications, symptoms, trips, and emergency details are stored only on your device. We do not run servers that receive your data, we do not have accounts, and we cannot see, collect, or sell your information. The app is built to work fully offline.

2. Who we are

ChronicPath ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent application developed by Amy Blaylock. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

3. What information the App holds

ChronicPath is built around your health and travel details. Everything you enter is saved only in local storage on your device (an on-device database). This can include:

  • Your name and basic profile details
  • Health conditions you choose to enter (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Hashimoto's)
  • Medications, doses, and schedules
  • Symptom logs, flare severity ratings, and energy ("spoon") tracking entries
  • Trip details: destinations, dates, and itinerary items
  • Care team and emergency contact information you choose to add
  • Questions you ask the in-app guide

This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else by the App.

4. What we collect: nothing

We want to be specific, because for a health app this matters:

  • We operate no servers that receive your data. There is nowhere for us to collect it.
  • There are no accounts and no login. You are not identified to us in any way.
  • The App contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking code.
  • The App does not use location services or access your device contacts, photos, camera, or messages.
  • The App makes no network requests with your health data. It is designed to run offline.

5. The in-app guide

In this beta, the App's guidance and "AI guide" responses are generated on your device from built-in content. Your questions and health details are not sent to any external AI service or third party. If a future version introduces a live AI service that processes your data off-device, this policy will be updated to disclose exactly what is sent, to whom, and why, before that version is released.

6. TestFlight beta

If you are using ChronicPath through Apple's TestFlight, please note that Apple collects certain information as part of running TestFlight — such as crash logs, device type, and basic usage of the beta build. That collection is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and the TestFlight terms, not by us. Any crash or diagnostic data we receive through TestFlight is technical and is used only to fix problems in the App; it is not your health data.

7. Your control over your data

Because everything lives on your device, you are in direct control:

  • Access & edit — view and change your profile, conditions, medications, and logs any time inside the App.
  • Delete — use the App's "Reset app data" option to erase everything, or delete the App to remove all of its stored data from your device.
  • No recovery by us — because we never hold a copy, we cannot restore data you delete, and this beta does not back up to the cloud. Keep that in mind before resetting.

8. Health data and international users

We recognize that health information is sensitive ("special category data" under the EU/UK GDPR). Because ChronicPath processes this information only on your own device and never transmits it to us, we do not act as a data controller collecting or storing your health data on servers. Your information remains under your control on your device.

If a future version changes this (for example, adding cloud sync), the additional GDPR rights and disclosures that apply will be added here before that version ships.

9. Children's privacy

ChronicPath is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). Because the App collects nothing on our side, we do not knowingly hold any data about children. If you have concerns, contact us at [email protected].

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes — especially any that introduce off-device data collection — will be reflected here, with the "Last updated" date above revised, before the change takes effect.
